Purple Horse

Documentary

A young child’s mind has no boundaries – horses can be purple, boxes can be castles, raindrops can fill you with superpowers - anything seems possible. Then they enter school. Here kids are primarily taught how to score the “A”, cramping the true creativity and innovation we need to progress through today’s pressing social, environmental and economic climates.

A school program - once considered too radical - is now spreading through schools and handing the baton back to the kids. Memorization won’t help them this time - there’s no right answer on this page.

Purple Horse follows their journeys as each is pushed to confront a deep personal challenge – stage fright, focus, social acceptance and academics. They are set free to grow and learn in a way that will truly impact their futures…and ultimately ours.

Hope in Haiti

Emanuella lost her first shack in the earthquake of 2010. Her new 'home' is nothing more than a few sticks and tarps perched perilously on the edge of a hill. In the nearby town, Julianne used to live in a similar way, but has not only pulled herself out of poverty, but is now a respected leader in her community. This film addresses how a little developmental support can be the catalyst for change in rural Haiti.
